2005 Triumph Thruxton Cup Racer

In 2005, Triumph partnered with AHRMA to create a spec-series for the Thruxton. Unfortunately, the website for this cup doesn’t seem to work anymore, but the cup is still active – and there will be racing in California later this month.

Triumph Thruxton Cup Racer - Right Side

The 865cc twin engine produced 69 horsepower and 53 pound feet of torque. This example (VIN: SMT920K195J214866) was apparently built as a race bike and the seller claims it came from the factory without the speedometer and odometer. The bike is safety wired and comes with LSL case sliders and Axljak frame sliders, plus a new exhaust, steering stem bearings, and rear tire. The gold fork valves are included but the rear Ohlins aren’t included. It was street titled in Michigan a few years back so you could easily make this street legal if you wanted to. It was previously raced in WERA and AHRMA but the seller wants to race supermotos and enduros instead.

If you act quickly, you can race this bike real soon!
