We get our fair share of Ducati Paul Smarts over at Iconic Motorbikes, but this one stands out due to the history and the modifications – plus it’s already met the reserve so it will sell.
Thirty four years after Paul Smart’s legendary win at Imola, Ducati released a range of retro-themed bikes celebrating the Bologna firm’s classic bevel-drive twins. The most interesting of the Pierre Terblanche-designed modern retros was the Paul Smart 1000 LE. It was much more of a tribute than a replica, with several nods to Smart’s original 750 Desmo racer such as the silver flake bodywork and green frame. Just 2,000 examples were built.
This example (VIN: ZDM1WABP56B001004) is offered by the original owner, it’s been recently serviced, and it’s got a bunch of great upgrades: OEM Ducati full lower fairings (original lower fairings included), OEM Ducati comfort seat (original seat included), OEM Ducati center stand, Termignoni slip-on exhaust, carbon fiber rear wheel hugger, and more.
Find this Paul Smart for sale in Santa Monica, California with bidding up to $15,000 and the reserve already met here on Iconic Motorbike Auctions. Please note that there is a 7% buyer’s premium.
