The Paul Smart is one of those bikes that always gets me to do a triple take when I see it in person. Inspired by Ducati’s 70s race bikes – especially the one Paul Smart won the 1972 Imola 200 with – this gorgeous motorcycle was limited to a production run of 2,000 models. I hear that they can be torture racks (or that you just need to know how to ride it properly), but I don’t care. Look at it!
The Paul Smart features a 992cc desmodromic twin engine that produced 92 horsepower. Harkening to the Ducati 750 Imola Desmo race bike, it features the beautiful bubble style half fairing and the green frame. Rounding out the excellent factory specifications are Ohlins upside-down forks in the front and an Ohlins monoshock in the rear. This example has extra goodies like Termignoni exhaust, Ducati Performance ECU, an open air box, and a dry carbon seat/tail piece. The odometer shows just 1,344 miles and all the original parts and documents are included. The seller says it has been well maintained and that it was just serviced at Erico Motorsports.
