We go from old Benelli’s to new ones…
In the 80s, Benelli was merged to become part of Moto Guzzi, and it was pretty much shut down. In the mid 90s, however, Andrea Merloni brought Benelli back and they came back with a vengeance, with very distinctive looking bikes. By the designs, you would never be able to tell that Benelli is now owned by a Chinese corporation.
This is one of those distinct bikes – the Benelli TNT Cafe Racer. Though the name is reminiscent of the common explosive, TNT actually stands for Tornado Nuda Tre – Tornado being the model name, and it’s a naked triple. And what a triple it is! 160 horsepower gets this bike going in a hurry. But plenty of bikes make 150hp or more – this bike is here because you never see them in the wild.
Find this rare Italian triple here on eBay in Gaffney, South Carolina with bidding over $8,000 and the reserve not yet met with a couple of days left.
