Trailers are rare enough in the world of motorcycling, but they’re almost always found on pavement. Well, a Canadian company called KIP Moto has developed an off-road trailer designed to be towed with an enduro. Called the SherpaX, the trailer weighs 30 pounds, offers almost 4″ of suspension travel, and features a cargo basket that’s designed to accept a Rubbermaid 90 liter container. I’m of the belief that weight is the enemy when one is off-road, but this seems like an interesting option if you need to be out in the backcountry for extended periods of time.
This SherpaX is equipped with two Rotopax mounts, and it’s attached to a BMW G650 XChallenge that’s been farkled up with a Lynx windshield, Pivot Pegz, Renazco Racing seat, TFX shock, Scheffelmeier tool box integrated with the skid plate, Wolfman bags, Barkbusters, and plenty more. Seeing as the trailer limits how aggressive you can ride, it also seems OK that the seller utilizes an iPad Mini as a navigation tool.
