Post Listing Update: This Bimota was pulled off of eBay because “there was an error in the listing.” Final sale price unknown.
Introduced in 2007, the 3D was the third generation of the Tesi. While it was an improvement over the 2D in many ways, reviewers weren’t excited about the gap between how it looked and how it performed. It’s exquisite and it looks like it should do 250 miles per hour. But the 1,072cc Ducati dual spark motor was only good for 95 horsepower and the distinctive hub-steering front suspension did not offer the feel that you could get from quality forks. Still, it’s tough to go wrong with a beautiful, unique Italian like this. IF it wasn’t exclusive enough for you, Bimota created a limited edition that was wrapped in carbon fiber that pairs well with the Racing Red trellis frame. This example looks like it could use a little love, but it’s not like you’ve got lots of these to choose from!
The 3D is one of the best examples you can find of an exclusive Italian sportbike, though this is arguably more of a streetfighter. Ignoring the awesome-looking front end, this bike features a Ducati engine – specifically the 1078cc Dual Spark unit. For more information on the Tesi, check out this review from Cycle World.
This example (VIN: ZEST311D08R000034) has 4,355 miles (last service at 2,500) and it’s being offered by the original owner. Cosmetically, it looks to be in decent shape but the seller highlights some paint cracks on the tank in a photo. Mechanically, it’s due for a timing belt and it sure looks like the clutch and brake fluids need to be replaced. While the stock exhaust is included, this bike also has some Zard carbon fiber slipons. Find this Tesi 3D for sale in Kingston, New York with a BIN of $30,000 or best offer
