The Ducati Desmosedici D16RR might just be the greatest sportbike to ever come out of Italy. The RR stands for Racing Replica, and it was a limited production (just 1,500 examples) version of the Desmo MotoGP racebike piloted by Casey Stoner in the world’s greatest motorcycle race series.
If you want to know what this bike is like, I’ll send you right to MotorcycleUSA to hear it from two of the few people that ever ridden one. 197 horsepower, 377 pounds, and 191 miles per hour tell quite a story, but I can’t feature the Desmosedici without giving you the opportunity to hear how wonderful it sounds. Skip to 1:25, turn your speakers up, and enjoy:
This specific Desmosedici (VIN: ZDM1ZDFWX8B000847) has 1,011 miles and…that’s all the information you’ll get without contacting the seller.
Find this D16RR for sale here on Craigslist or at the Schlossmann Motorcycle website in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for $49,999 (per reader JGF in the comments below).
