Reader Zack B comes through with another bike I never heard of – the Bennche Megelli 250R. Based on the name, you’d be excused for thinking this comes from Italy, but it’s actually an American ATV and UTV company that dabbled importing a Chinese-made motorcycle. While Bennche is a firm based out of Dallas, Texas, Megelli is a UK company that specializes in small displacement bikes. Especially with the 250R name, it’s hard not to consider this to be a low-cost competitor to the Ninja 250R. Horsepower at the crank was 27 – at the rear wheel it was just over 16. But dry weight was just 248 pounds, meaning you don’t have to go slow. The first production run was 100 units, and I can’t figure out if any more were sold. For more on this bike and how it came to the states, check out this review from Motorcycle.com. This specific Bennche Megelli 250R is a 8/10 that has minor cosmetic wear from daily duty. Find it for sale here on Craigslist in Elmhurst, Illinois for $2,500.
