Post Sale Update: This Nuda initially did not meet reserve, but the high bidder later met the reserve of $9,000 + 7% buyers fee = $9,630.
A week ago or so, I had a “Guess That Bike” about a motorcycle with an interesting front fender, and I shared that it would be coming up on our auction site very soon. Well, that day has come!
This is part of the McKenna collection, and it is my belief that he accepted this bike as a trade-in on a car sold through one of his dealerships (though I’m not 100% sure about that). Either way, it was originally sold in Mexico City and is now in our possession in Marina del Rey, California.
On one hand, this is basically a tarted up BMW F800 (though I’m definitely oversimplifying). But I’ve always desperately wanted one of these, and I’m somewhat disappointed that I’m not allowed to bid on this because I don’t think it’s right for me to get involved if I’m selling it. I would love to have one of these with an Akrapovic exhaust – it sounds like thunder.
Plus, I’m a sucker for bikes that aren’t too common – and you can bet that you wouldn’t see another one of these in America for a long, long time. Hope you live in a state that won’t have a problem registering it!
