2012 KTM RC8-R

KTM does not have much of a street presence in the United States – but with bikes like the RC8-R it’s hard to understand why that’s the case. This distinctive-looking Superbike is full of high-end components and it makes around 175hp.

KTM RC8-R - Front Left

The 1195cc V-Twin engine makes good torque which helps this bike in the city, but this really is the ‘hooligan’ choice of bike over rivals like the Ducati 1198 or BMW S1000RR. Dry weight is just 410 pounds, and you’ll get Brembo monoblocs and fully-adjustable WP suspension in the front and rear.

KTM RC8-R - Gauges

This specific KTM RC8-R (VIN: vbkvr9404cm986364) is being sold by the original owner, and it has just 2,000 miles. The seller insists that this is the best paint scheme, and he might be right. At the very least, the white on orange livery does a better job showing the aggressive lines of this bike than the black on orange scheme. Everything is original with the exception of the aftermarket tail tidy, and as shown in the pictures, you’ll get the original one. Even in Southern California, I rarely see these bikes on the road.
