The Harvest Classic is a European and Vintage Motorcycle Rally that benefits Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance, and it’s happening this October 17th and 18th in Luckenbach, Texas.
Check out this entertaining video about the Story of the Harvest Classic, which shows the incredible variety of motorcycles you’ll be able to see:
And if you’re not convinced to check out the Harvest Classic after all that, then maybe the possibility of winning a sweet bike as part of a raffle will be enough motivation? Impressively, there are 4 motorcycles up for either raffle or auction. Check out these beauties:
1.) General Raffle – 1969 Honda CL70 with “El Apocalypto” camping package.
2.) Motorcycle-Only Raffle – 1975 Kawasaki KT250
3.) Sealed-Bid Auction – 1980 Suzuki GS850G
4.) Live Auction – 1977 Penton GS6 Anniversary Edition 125cc
My personal favorite has got to be the Penton, but you can find details on each bike on the Harvest Classic Rally site. You’ll also find a choice quote that sums the whole experience up better than I possibly could:
Bid loud and bid proud on this bike, knowing that it was restored with the sole intention of donating it to the Harvest Classic to raise money for the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer program, which was very helpful to Fred and Maggie as their son Charlie battled childhood cancer. This bike represents what this rally is all about — love and support for those kids and families who are living with childhood cancer.
For a quick summary, check out the event flyer here. Otherwise, head on over to the Harvest Classic website for all the information you could want. I will unfortunately be stuck in Los Angeles, but I hope to hear from some of you that attend!
