In addition to his KTM 990 SMT, commenter Walter Barlow is letting go of another KTM – his 1190 Adventure.
Cycle World called this the best Adventure bike of 2014, thanks to “sportbike-like performance on the asphalt while efficiently managing traction—both go and whoa—on the dirt.” It has the capability to go nearly anywhere and still has the power to hit 150 miles per hour. Chris Birch has starred in several videos showing just how impressive the KTM can be:
In Walter’s words:
“at 76, I need something a bit lighter. It’s been anvil reliable my entire 10 year ownership. I only had two issues, both fixed under warranty- 1) the initial 1190 starters were “undersized”, an issue KTM addressed by installing the new version, 2) a leaky fork seal. That’s it.”
A full list of modifications and recent maintenance is available in the listing – please note that the orange Pelican case and Zumo 550 are not included.
