Post Listing Update: This Street Triple did not get any interest at the opening bid of $4,800.
For many, naked bikes are the ultimate blend of performance and streetability. Meatier midrange and upright bars turned out to be a worth a couple of horses on the top end. However, the spotlight is often shown on the extremes. The Yamaha FZ-07 squeezes out 74hp. It’s all the bike you could ever need…but not dream of. On the other end of the spectrum is the Aprilia Tuono V4, pushing 170hp. If you’re looking between those lines, the Triumph Street Triple is for you. Based on the Daytona 675 in true naked form, it puts down 106hp through a well-developed chassis, with quality brakes and suspension to match. The extra 32hp will be immediately apparent, but much more usable every day than superbike levels of shove.
This Triumph Street Triple (VIN: SMTL02NE2ET619784) comes gently used with 7,200 miles in South Carolina. The bike remains stock, without even a tail tidy to note. A new battery is been installed along with Michelin Power RS tires. Some scratches are noted on the right side, likely the result of tipping over while parked. A few minor scrapes are visible on the exhaust in the pictures. Overall however, this would make a great daily driver. You could do wheelies all day long without fear of being the first guy to drop it, and the title is still clean. In my mind, that’s the ultimate compromise. The bid is starting at $4,800, and given wide availability of the more expensive Street Triple R model, I would expect it to remain close. There is no reserve, so happy bidding!
