The Moto Guzzi Griso SE is a special edition of the venerable Griso, and it differed from the base bike with a fancy paint job, some blacked out parts, and spoked wheels. Mechanically, you also got adjustable suspension, and giant Brembo brakes – this bike was an interesting balance between the style of a custom with the components of a sportbike. This example is particularly interesting to me as the seller claims that he “worked with Todd [Eagan] to launch his custom build brand GTMotocycles.
In general, Guzzi’s don’t sell well in the US, and this bike was no different. But for the small group of riders that love these bikes, this bike is a solid all-arounder that drips exclusivity. As the wonderful Kevin Ash (RIP) once said in an article for BikeEXIF: “…the bike whose looks do the most for me is the Guzzi Griso, sweeping and elegant on the left, overtly mechanical and rugged on the right.”
The seller states that this was customized by Todd, who “oversaw all aspects of customization and tuning of this bike, no expense was spared.” It has 5,400 miles and got a complete service with new fluids at 5k. The stock Griso was good for a claimed 109 horsepower – this example is claimed to put out over 125.
