2016 was Toni “The Tiger” Elias’ rookie season in MotoAmerica, and his Yoshimura-Suzuki GSX-R1000 was good for 221 horsepower at the rear wheel (on VP MR12 race fuel). That bike can now be yours.
There’s at least a quarter of a million dollars invested in this machine, which is why the 220+ horsepower only has to push 370 pounds (wet) of bike – that’s a 70+ pound diet compared to the stock production Gixxer 1000! Sadly, Yoshimura is no longer Suzuki’s support team when it comes to Superbike racing, but you can ignore that sad news while you’re on track with this incredible machine.
Following Toni’s direction, this bike won the first two races of the season and eventually came in third in the season. It was a strong showing for the machine, and it’s offered exactly as piloted in the final race of the 2016 season – except for some damage to the tail that happened in shipping. Don’t worry, the bike’s still faster than you are. I sincerely hope the next owner is able to get this out on the track regularly.
