Over the years Ducati has teamed up with various hip companies to deliver interesting and stylish versions of Ducati’s two-wheeled offerings. The Diesel (the clothing company) Diavel and Monster are both pretty cool, but their collaboration with Italia Independent, a high-end and trendy sunglasses company, is my personal favorite: the limited edition 2016 Scrambler Italia Independent.
Released in December of 2015 at the Art Basel Contemporary Art Exhibition in Miami, only 1,077 units were produced of this blacked-out version of Ducati’s Scrambler line. The minimal tweaks and customizations that make up the Italia Independent Scrambler are all very understated and subtle. The black-ceramic coated Termi-exhaust was only produced for these limited edition Scramblers. The paint and powder coating make up the rest of the differences offered on this limited edition version. The wheels, frame and sides of the tank are all a matte-bronze and are offset by the rest of the bike’s black everything, and the back of the seat and tank badges both get special Italia Independent X Ducati logos. Other small accessories come standard on this limited edition model such as custom grips, bar-end mirrors (same ones found on the cafe racer Scrambler), quick-release fuel cap and black levers.
This example looks pristine and has had less than a thousand miles put on it since leaving the factory. The seller also added swingarm-spools, front axle sliders, and fender-eliminator kit. A new pair of Rizoma rear-sets also come with the bike. You can find this Italia Independent Scrambler for sale here on Craigslist in Palm Springs, CA with a price of $15,000.
