I’ve had several readers share with me that they recently picked up a new Africa Twin. All of them have been suspiciously happy with them so now I’m looking forward to trying one myself. Still (as is inevitable with a bike that had a waiting list) some riders put a few miles on their new bike and end up looking for something else. This example has just 612 miles and the seller apparently wants a ‘longer-distance’ road platform. If you’ve wanted an Africa Twin, here’s one for just $12k.
Press reviews of the AT have been favorable, with the general conclusion that it’s slightly worse on road than its ADV competition, but much better off-road and several thousand dollars cheaper. For more details, check out this review from Sean MacDonald. Not much to say about this specific example – it comes with a Givi universal rack and the 600-mile oil change was completed.
