Zero Engineering was founded in Japan in 1992 but they established a US subsidiary in Vegas and started selling some of their limited production choppers to Americans starting in 2008. They currently offer four models, and the Type 9 (introduced in 2011) is arguably the fanciest as it includes a multi-arm suspension. The other three models (5/6/8) all utilize rigid frames.
Zero’s tagline for the Type 9 is “Autobahn quality obtained after two extremely intense years of work“, and they also state that “the Type 9 does not sacrifice vintage style for excessive accessories and brings polished traction performance and high speed stability.”
The seller of this example (VIN: 1P9SRK652KL471233) states that it’s the last of the T9 series and that it has just 17 miles as it’s been ridden once. It features a 1,570cc Harley-Davidson V-Twin motor and 5-speed transmission.
