There’s a cottage industry out there for people who like shoving the legendary two-stroke Honda CR500 motor into other frames – usually I see it done with CR250s or similar but M-Worx Conversions in Illinois has recently done one with a modern CRF450R frame and now it’s for sale.
Per the builder, this started out as a CRF450 rolling chassis and the frame was modified to fit a 1995 CR500 engine. “Radiators are modified to use standard cr500 hoses, Custom Carbon Fiber Airbox is used to make the connection to the carburetor. The Cr500 Exhausts exit thru a complete Pro Circuit Exhaust system. Fuel tank houses a Custom Billet Fuel Tank Plate that utilizes a Honda Fuel Petcock with its on strainer/filter. Traction provided by Dunlop Tires. If you have read this far then you know what these bikes are and the work that goes into them, We strive to make these bikes look as factory as possible. Offering you the bike Honda doesn’t make, here’s your opportunity to own one.”
