This year, Yamaha brought back the R7 name – though this time around it’s for a tamer, cheaper way to get into the world of supersports. I had an absolute blast with it at the launch at Atlanta Motorsports Park and it’s high on my list to replace my Ninja 400 as my go-to track bike. For 2022, Yamaha’s offering a 60th Anniversary paint job with their famous speedblock livery – a brand new one will set you back $9,299 plus a $450 destination charge and a $300 freight surcharge. Over on the auction site, we’ve got a new one that’s never been ridden and the reserve’s already been met at $7,600 so maybe someone can get themselves a deal!
My video review:
The 60th Anniversary livery is cool as it features the same white and red speedblock livery as Yamaha’s M1 GP bike as well as details including gold wheels and forks, black levers, and some distinctive commemorative badging including factory race-bike gold Tuning Fork emblems on the tank and a set of “World GP 60th Anniversary” decals on the tail.
Not much to say about this example (VIN: JYARM38YXNA001094), as it’s never been ridden and has zero miles. The seller bought it at Pasadena Yamaha and had them dealer prep it, then he just put it on display.
Find this R7 for sale in Santa Monica, California with bidding up to $7,600 and the reserve already met here on Iconic Motorbike Auctions. Just remember that we have a 7% buyer’s fee!
