Built by Union Motorcycle Classics, this beautiful Ducati has been donated to REACTS Ministries, a charity that operates ministries in Southeast Asia and provides education, shelter, and food for children who could not otherwise have access to those necessities. Here’s your change to help someone less fortunate than yourself…and possibly win a hell of a custom Italian.
This build started as a ’66 Ducati Scrambler, but it has obviously been significantly modified into a cafe racer of sorts. The 250cc motor is only capable of producing 18 horsepower, but the original bike weighed just 240 pounds and I suspect this one weighs even less. For more information about the build, check out this detailed article on BikeEXIF. It’s gorgeous, and I’m stunned that the builders were willing to give it away. Per the BikeEXIF article, the head of Union said, “I’ve had incredible experiences working in children’s homes in northern Thailand,” he says. “I’ve been there 20 times over the last 12 years, and I wanted to ‘give back’ somehow.”
To enter the raffle, head on over to this site. The only complaint I have with this is that the raffle lasts a whopping 3 months, so keep that in mind. As of the time that I wrote this post up, 85 potential owners had bought tickets and $4,810 had been raised…but then I entered myself. I wish you good luck, even if I selfishly want this for myself!
