The SRX600 was only offered for one year in the US, though it enjoyed a bit more success in its home market of Japan. Though few were sold in the States, this mid-size standard now enjoys a cult following for riders who appreciate the styling, handling, and the fact that there’s no magic button so you have to kick over the 595cc single each time. This example stands out as it has just 276 miles on the odometer.
Basic stats include 41 horsepower, a top speed of 106 miles per hour, and a wet weight of 387 pounds. For more on the SRX, check out this article from Motorcycle Classics, which heaps plenty of praise on the bike, including “…some rank [the SRX] among the best singles of all time. Designed by an engineering crew bent on putting a modern spin on the café racer theme, the bike combines a nearly unbreakable engine with handling about as good as anything that wasn’t a racing-only machine, outstanding braking and bare-knuckle styling.”
This bike has barely any miles on it and it’s now being offered out of a private collection. Find this Yamaha SRX for sale here on Craigslist in Denver, Colorado for $4,700.
