Here’s a rare MZ in the US that’s barely been ridden – will you change that?
The MZ TS250 features a 2 stroke 250cc single cylinder engine that produces 19 horsepower, which was enough to get this bike up to a top speed of 79 miles per hour. With that said, anecdotes I’ve seen online suggest that above 60, this bike doesn’t feel very happy. The last time I featured one of these, Paul d’Orleans said he once rode one from London to the border of the Soviet Union a few decades ago.
This example (VIN: 3571558) has just 290 miles, 159 of which came from the current owner who has had it since 2017. There’s a few non-original parts (handlebars, horn, license plate bracket, voltage regulator, etc), but it’s a rare and interesting classic. There’s also an aftermarket carb and “low speed running and exhaust leakage is affected by carb float needle leaking by a bit.” There’s a spare carb included which is claimed to be in better shape.
Find this MZ for sale in Dallas, Texas with an unmet opening bid of $1,800 here on eBay.
