Sold in the US for three years, the Honda VTR250 has become a cult classic for riders that love small bikes. The liquid cooled 250cc engine was paired with a six-speed transmission, and interestingly, an inboard front disc – though by 1990 the front brake would change to the industry standard. Someone in Wisconsin is selling a pair of them if you want a couple of fun small-displacement street bikes or if you want to start a race team…
If you want something different than the usual Ninja 250/300, this is truly a great all-arounder and it will become a classic. You could attain 90 mpg if you babied it, but still do 95 mph if you needed it. Some might consider the riding position to be a bit cramped, but it’s very versatile, and it checks off the right boxes for a little bike. It’s light, nimble, and in a very 80’s way, good looking to boot. For more specifications, check out Tomi and Carl.
The seller doesn’t have much to say about this pair of bikes, but one is a 1989 model and one is a 1990. Buy one, buy both, or just stare at the photos for a refresher of a cool bike from the past! Find this pair of VTRs for sale in Edgerton, Wisconsin for $5,000 (or $2,500 each) here on Craigslist.
