A seller has three classic Triumphs that he’s trying to get rid of as a package – a 1965 T120 Bonneville, 1946 5T Speed Twin, and a 1957 TRW military motorcycle.
The seller is annoyingly light on information but the Bonnie comes with the original sale invoice and the Speed Twin is an ex-museum display bike that needs a correct seat and front end.
The bike that excites me the most is the TRW. The seller says it’s an ex-McQueen bike that was purchased at one of the Vegas auctions a few years back. I don’t really care about that provenance – I just think the TRW is cool! The TRW was built for use by the British military in WWII, but by the time the bike was released in 1948, the war was over. The British army therefore didn’t acquire many of them, though about 15k were built until 1964, and many were exported to Commonwealth countries. They were never offered new to the public, and only 80 exist on the register of TRW’s at Burton Bike Bits. For all the information you would want on a TRW, check out this “Buyers Guide” from Sump Publishing.
