A seller in Oregon has 3 truly interesting Harleys…but no one’s going to say that they’re bargains!
First we’ve got a 1980 XR750 – from the last year that Harley built complete XR750 racers. The seller somehow claims that this is “the only example in the world that has never been raced”, because it’s “better than new”. It’s never been started, because it’s never had fuel in it. Find it with an unmet opening bid of $60,000 or a BIN of $65,000
There’s also a ’72 XR750TT – one of just 10 built that year. For more on this model and its’ racing success, check out this photo-heavy profile on Silodrome. This example has never been started since a “completel nut and bolt restoration, right down to the new, period correct, impossible to acquire, Goodyear racing slicks.” You’l also get factory paperwork showing a HD mechanic signing off on the engine before it was sent to the Daytona 200.
Find it with an unmet opening bid of $90,000
Lastly, we’ve got a ’78 XLCR (sorry for the horrible photo, it’s all the seller had), with an asking price far higher than I’ve ever seen for one of these bikes. It’s claimed to be a “cafe racer show winning grade”, and it’s won something at Sturgis. Find it for sale with an unmet opening bid of $40,000
