A stock Vitpilen weighs 366 pounds wet, but according to the seller this bike now weighs just 330 pounds with a full tank of gas thanks to a staggering amount of modifications…and it doesn’t even have carbon fiber wheels!
I never reviewed a Vitpilen 701, though I really enjoyed my time on its sibling, the Svartpilen 701 – I’d love to know what one feels like with a ~10% weight savings!
This example (VIN: VBKUPV407JM7186570) has 2,315 miles, 700 of which were put on by the current owner. “Shortly after purchasing the bike I ordered many custom parts from BadWinners in France, which quoted me a time of 3-4 weeks to ship. I tore the bike down while waiting for the parts, which arrived… a year later. As such, not too many miles were put on the bike while it sat on a rear stand in the garage waiting on parts. The whole purpose of this build was to make the bike as absolutely lightweight as possible. According to my dual shipping scale method the bike weighs in at 330lbs wet with a full tank of fuel!”

The seller has all the original parts, and if the bike doesn’t sell it appears that he’s going to put the bike back to stock and sell it that way. I hope someone grabs it as is…and then puts carbon fiber wheels on it for even more weight savings!
