Considered by many to be the most beautiful motorcycle of all time, the Ducati 916 will always bee a legendary two-wheeler. This example will take you back in time a couple of decades as it’s in excellent shape.
This example (VIN: ZDM1SB8S3VB00187) was originally purchased at Donelson Cycles Inc. in Missouri – the original owner put 351 miles on it, the put it on display on an actual pedestal in his living room. The second owner acquired the machine in 2003 and has kept it as a “pampered showpiece” ever since, keeping it in “a climate-controlled showroom, started occasionally, battery tended, tires aired, dusted and admired.”
The Ohlins shock and Termignoni exhaust were installed at the time of purchase. When the seller took the bike outside to take photos, she noticed that the left handlebar had come loose because the mounting clamp had failed. The seller includes plenty of photos for you to verify that it was a factory defect and not from any sort of tipover. Other issues include minor corrosion, boot wear on the right side of the frame, and some rub marks on the top of the mirrors.
