Post-Sale Update: After 38 bids on eBay, this Triumph Bonneville sold for $14,805 – or $308/mile!
The Triumph Bonneville is a legend in the motorcycling world, so I won’t bother you with an introduction to this post. But this one stands out because it has just 48 miles on it – and the seller is including 650 spares!
This Bonnie is an absolutely beauty in Aubergine over Glacial White. Back in 2000, it was restored, drained, and then parked. The seller says he’s used it as display piece, not as a motorcycle.
This specific Triumph Bonneville will need a little attention as it has sat for 15 years. There’s an intermittent miss in the left cylinder, but everything else is great and there’s no leak. The spare parts include 3 beautiful tanks and plenty of other extras. I highly recommend that you check out the questions/answers in this listing as the seller has some enjoyable things to read:
“It is a rolling smile on two laced wheels from when six hundred and fifty was enough to make you think you could go flat out out, over a hundred all day, nowhere near the Bonneville salt flats but running away from any pesty, domestic distractions just across town. This bike is personally hard-wired to our analog past of throttle, chrome, sparkly paint and stove black lacquer.”
