Post Listing Update: This Rosso Mandello did not meet reserve despite 9 bids up to $5,600 on eBay in Oakland, California.
The V11 Sport is already a rare motorcycle, but the Moto Guzzi V11 Sport Rosso Mandello takes it one step further. Just 300 examples of this limited edition were built (to celebrate 80 years of Guzzi motorcycle production), with lots of carbon fiber, a different clutch, and its exclusivity advertised right on the sidecover.
Mechanically, the differences between this bike and the V11 Sport are minimal. This bike got an upgraded hydraulic clutch with a single disc, but the 91 horsepower 1064cc V-Twin engine is untouched. Original MSRP was $12,900, and that money got you Brembo brakes, Marzocchi forks and a WP shock, though this example has a Penske unit. In fact, this bike (VIN: ZGUKRAKR61M113961) has a lot of modifications.
This Rosso Mandello is #49 of 300 and it’s being offered by Surj Gish, the editor of City Bike. Other mods include K&N filters, a Power Commander, Ghezzi-Brian chin spoiler, black valve covers, Magni exhaust, Stucchi crossover, and lots of carbon fiber bits. There’s also plenty of spares, including a brown suede suit from a Tenni Green V11, Hepco & Becker luggage racks, and several of the original parts. Note that the original side covers have been removed (they’re included) and replaced with carbon fiber side covers (possibly from a V11 Scura) to fit the remote reservoir of the Penske shock. You can listen to the crossover and exhaust here:
