4/30 Update: Uh…nevermind. While at Mecum Las Vegas, I was surprised to see the exact same photo that the “seller” of this bike used…so it’s clearly a scam and I’ve deleted the link. The asking price below is $3,500, but it sold at Mecum for a shocking (to me) $7,920.
Built between 1973 and 1975, the Z90 was one of a series of small Harleys built by Aermacchi in the 70s. The 90cc two-stroke engine was paired with a 4-speed transmission, Dell’Orto concentric carb, and 2.4 gallon gas tank. Harley advertised this as “your invitation to on/off road adventure…for exploring the country anywhere!”
The seller says that this was on display at a Harley dealership in New Bedford, Massachusetts and that he bought it twenty years ago with 30 miles on it. The odometer now shows 59 miles, and the sale includes the owner’s manual, original Certificate of Origin (it’s never been registered), original tires, and original battery. It also has three broken turn signals “from moving”. The seller is letting it go to pay for his son’s tuition.
Find this Z90 for sale in Weymouth, Massachusetts for $3,500 here on Craigslist. LINK REMOVED, SEE NOTE ABOVE.
