664 Miles – 2002 Kawasaki ZRX1200R

In Japan, Standard by AbhiLeave a Comment

I’m a big fan of the ZRX and I think it’s a great example of a modern classic that you can enjoy every day. Here’s an example that’s barely been enjoyed (at least in terms of riding) as it has just 664 miles on the odometer. I’ll be curious to know if the next owner rides it or keeps the mileage as low as possible.

The ZRX combined comfortable riding ergonomics, liter-bike performance, Eddie Lawson-inspired styling, and a relatively cheap MSRP into something that still holds up today. When it was released in 1999 (as a 1100), Cycle World deemed it the Best Standard as part of their Ten Best awards. 11 years later, Cycle World would also call it a “Best Used Bike”. For more information, check out this “Smart Money” buyer’s guide from Motorcyclist magazine.

This example (VIN: JKAZR9A142A019263) obviously stands out due to the mileage. The seller got it 4 months ago and put 7 miles on it, it apparently still has the original tires. It also comes with two keys, the owner’s manual, a brochure, and a California plate with current tags.

At first I thought the asking price seemed steep (and the seller’s description makes it seem like the asking price came about because he owes $12k on his Visa credit card bill, maybe I’m misreading it) but I did feature a 147-mile example a few years back that sold for $12,100, so who knows.

Find this ZRX for sale in Victorville, California with a BIN of $12,500 or best offer here on eBay.
