Post Sale Update: After 16 bids on eBay, this CL sold for US $4,599.
The successor to last week’s Honda CL350, this immaculate Honda CL360 has just 700 miles and is waiting for a new owner after spending most of its life in a collection.
Built for just three years, the CL360 was basically the same as its street-based CB brother – the main difference is of course, the scrambler pipes. Upgrades from the CL360 included a six speed transmission and an engine that was tune for more torque over a broader rev band. With that said, many people considered this bike to actually be worse than the 350, so it wasn’t much of a success in the marketplace. Basic specifications include 34 horsepower, a dry weight of 392 pounds, and a top speed of 102.
This specific Honda CL360 is claimed to be just the 230th off the production line, and to have no rust or oxidation anywhere. It last saw pavement in 1977, after which it was put into storage. The seller has cleaned the bike and rebuilt the carbs, and the bike apparently runs perfectly.
