For BMW’s 75th anniversary, the Germany company created a limited run (750 examples) of the R1100GS. Differences were limited to the special paint scheme and fancy paperwork called the “Edition Folder” for the owner – Euro bikes got a dark smoke windscreen and the US got a clear one.
There were actually four different 75th Anniversary models, but today we’re just worrying about the GS:
According to BMW, 750 of the GS models were built but it’s unclear how many went to specific markets. The most common number that pops up on the internet is that 200 made it to the US.
This example has 48,000 miles and it comes with the tinted European shield and optional side bags to complement the standard ABS and heated grips. The seller notes that everything works but there is some surface rust and faded plastic parts.
