After a long production run, the California 1100 was given a final send off by Moto Guzzi – a limited edition called the California 90, named for the 90th anniversary of MG (and coincidentally the 40th anniversary of the California model). This one has 6 miles and is claimed to basically be brand new.
To mark the occasion, Guzzi slapped on some special paint (the scheme is called “Anniversario” and features California Metallic Orange on Diamond White, complemented by a tank logo that imitates Guzzi’s original logo in the 30s. The drivetrain was the same as the base bike, but you also got a cowhide saddle, windshield, saddlebags, steel mudguards, and fog lights for a MSRP of $15,990. Think of it as a California Vintage model with pretty paint, plus a plaque showing you how limited it is (the seller says less than 150 were made but I have not been able to verify that)
This example (VIN: ZGUKDU007CM112809) is #114 and it has just 6 miles. The seller says all of those miles were either from the factory or the dealer and that it’s in ‘as new condition’. You’ll get all manuals, two sets of keys, and the tool kit. It’s a cool bike and it’s a limited edition that ended a model line, but I just don’t see this bike being a collectible just yet. Thankfully, we’re all allowed to have different opinions, so if you disagree with me you can find this Cal 90 for sale in Colonial Heights, Virginia with a BIN of $18,500
