The seller of this bike is a little light on details but he does have some nice photos. This 851 is claimed to be in “great survivor condition”, but it’s also hiding a bonus – a 926cc motor built by the well-regarded BCM Motorsports before they went out of business.
This example has over 23,000 miles and the seller has receipts for the work. The bike also has carbon fiber slipon exhausts. The chances are high that this is the same bike from this thread, where it’s noted that the bike sat for 5 years. After a little bit of work it seems all ended well. You could never really call this a wolf in sheep’s clothing, so just consider this 851 a fast sheep in sheep’s clothing.
