99 Point Restoration – 1972 Hodaka Ace 100B+

In America, Dual-Sport, Japan, Small Displacement by AbhiLeave a Comment

Post Sale Update: This Ace sold for a hefty $5,300 after 15 bids on eBay.

Here’s a 100B+ model of Hodaka’s well-loved Ace enduro. This example has just been restored and it was given a score of 99 points (and a First Junior Award) at the AMCA Lucas National at Barber.

It’s also been displayed at the Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance as well as the 2016 Riding Into History Concours. This bike (VIN: A 68990) did 4 decades of ranch duty within three generations of the same family before it was given a restoration – the bike has just two miles since the work was done: “just enough to ensure it runs great with no leaks.” The seller is apparently more of a Bultaco guy and he’s cleaning out other brands from his collection. The sale includes the Owner’s Handbook, Illustrated Parts List, Hodaka Master Parts List, and some extra digital files.
