Someone in Denver, Colorado is letting go of a fine collection of 6 bikes. Normally when someone offers up a set like this the asking prices are all silly. In this case, I think they’re quite reasonable. Which would you want to take home?
Here’s the list:
2004 Ducati 999S – $8,000 or best offer. Just 2,975 miles and like other bikes below the seller says this is “all stock” and in “excellent condition.” It’s got new Dunlop Q3’s. The already ugly vent/gill up front really stands out in carbon fiber – I forgot how horrible that styling touch was!
2001 Honda RC51 – $4,000 or best offer. This would be the one I take home, and I think it’s a very fair price for a RC51. Swap out the ugly Two Brothers pipes (ideally for some Satos), pull off the Vortex decal, and enjoy the new tires. Odometer has about 19,800 miles.
2010 KTM RC8 – $6,500 or best offer. 38k miles on the odometer.
1990 BMW K1 – $7,800. My eyes! I don’t know what BMW was thinking when they offered the ketchup/mustard paint livery. Still, it’s a classic and this example comes with the rare rear luggage. The seller is the third owner of this bike which has just over 48k miles and is said to be an “excellent example” of an “all stock” bike. Of all of these, it’s probably the worst to ride but it’ll be worth the most in 20 years.
1993 Moto Guzzi Daytona 1000 – $11,500. Guzzi fanatics are weird, and they’re not even going to notice that there are other bikes for sale in this listing. Claimed to be in excellent condition with 13,038 miles, but it looks like there’s some damage to the right exhaust can.
2001 BMW K1200RS – $3,800 or best offer. Alright, it’s not really a sportbike but it’ll still do 70 miles per hour in first gear and be fast enough for pretty much anyone. It sacrifices agility in tight turns for the ability to cover hundreds of miles at a time. Pack the included saddlebags and add to the 16,672 miles currently on the odometer!
