In this article for Motorcyclist magazine, Mitch Boehm said, “fast, sexy, and nimble, the GPz…catapulted Kawasaki into the leadership position for middleweight streetbikes.” Here’s one that takes the leadership position literally as it’s won several AHRMA races over the years.
This bike was successfully raced for years by Harry Vanderlinden in Middleweight Superbike, and then it ended up in the hands of Mathieu Guyot-Sionnest. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because he used to write for Bike-urious! Now he works at Bonhams as a Motorcycle Specialist.
Mathieu has ridden it three times during his year of ownership – two track days at Willow Springs and an AHRMA race in 2020 at Laguna Seca. It has a 1984 motor and is sold on a bill of sale only.
