Post Listing Update: Despite 35 bids up to $36,300, this 750 Sport did not meet reserve.
Restored by Jeff Nash of AMS Ducati, this beautiful example of one of Ducati’s most famous models has been on display for the last four years – will the next owner keep it in a similar state or put some fluids in it and get it dirty?
The 748cc V-Twin was good for 62 horsepower, enough to power the 402 pound (dry) bike up to 124 miles per hour. 1973 was the second year of production for this counter to the larger bikes coming from Honda, BSA, and Triumph. For more on the 750 Sport, check out this article on Motorcycle Classics.
This example has 9,500 miles and as noted above, it’s been sitting for years after Jeff Nash’s restoration. The only flaw seems to be a “minor nick in the stripe on the tank” that the seller “cannot get to show in a photograph.” Otherwise, he says it’s flawless.
