10-26 Update: This Atom Bomb Bonnie is back. Since the last time I featured it 8 months ago, it’s been relisted several times with bidding never really getting over $11,000. But now it’s been to the Handbuilt Show and the bike is up for sale again with an opening bid of $12,500 or a BIN of $13,500
This bike was originally a Triumph Bonneville, but Clay Rathburn of Atom Bomb Custom Motorcycles has turned it into something special.
I’ve featured an Atom Bomb custom before, which unfortunately did not have much luck selling on eBay, even though it was very, very cool. This bike is also very interesting, thanks to features like the split (and tiny) fuel tanks and the oil tank that serves as the rear fender.
Featured on sites like BikeEXIF, this Bonnie was built a year ago for his friend/webmaster of his site who is now getting rid of this as Clay is building him a second bike. It’s apparently only been ridden lightly and is in the same (or better) condition then right after the build as a “few teething issues have been worked out.”
Find this custom Bonnie “Atom Bomb Special” for sale in Longport, New Jersey with bidding up to $107 and the reserve obviously not yet met or a BIN of $23,500
