On March 7th and 8th, the Boone County Swap Meet will go down in Lebanon, Indiana. They’ve got a few cool bikes, like a Mobylette 50cc scooter, ATK 450 Enduro, and such. Click here for the full list. Normally when I do these “Auction Previews” I exhibit some odd taste – get ready for a few choices that are even weirder than usual (including one of the coolest vehicles I’ve ever seen).
Here’s my 3 favorite items (the first two of which aren’t even motorcycles):
1.) Harley-Davidson Sporster Pedal Bike:
3.) Alright, the real reason I featured this auction/swap meet in the first place: Randy Grubb’s Decopod Prototype. You may know Randy Grubb because he built Jay Leno’s Tank Car (in addition to the Blastone Indy Special, the Decoliner, and more). He made 12 of these Decopods – 6 with two wheels and 6 with three wheels. This is the prototype (just one of two Decopods with two doors instead of one).
Unlike the final production versions which seem to be built on Piaggio scooters, this is an aluminum body built on a Honda Arrow 80.
Forget all of that for a moment, though. Just watch this video about the Decopods from my favorite YouTube channel, Jay Leno’s Garage:
If you want to bid online, head on over to this site. Or, I guess you can drive to Indiana!
