11-13-17 Update: Readers John G and Jim B note that this is a good time to update this post as the auction is happening this weekend. They’ve finally categorized everything so you can see what’s available.
Larry Klein was the owner of GT Motors in Lansing, Michigan, a well-known Moto Guzzi dealership – but he may have been even better known as a purveyor of motorcycling literature. However you knew him, it seems that he was a beloved fixture of the motorcycle community. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2015 on vacation. 10 of his bikes were sold as Lots 130-139 at this year’s Bonham’s auction in Las Vegas, but now the rest of his estate is being auctioned off in mid-November by Braun and Helmer in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
I’m sharing this well in advance so they haven’t cataloged everything yet, but it’s clear there’s a lot of bikes, parts, and books available. Obviously there’s a good amount of Guzzis available, but there’s also some stuff from Norton, BSA, Ducati, Moto Morini, Honda, and more.
Pretty much everything looks restorable though it’s clear that Bonhams already snagged all the high value bikes.
For more information on how to bid (and more photos of what’s available), head on over to the Braun and Helmer site.
