For two years, Kawasaki offered an interesting turquoise/purple color scheme for their venerable KLR650. Fans of the model affectionately started calling the paint job “Barbie”, and today we’ve got a fine example of one.
This example is said to be a 1 owner bike with less than 22k miles in “astonishingly good condition.” It’s never been off-road and it comes with a custom purple Corbin seat. Per the seller, “in 2011, the bike received about $2000 in upgrades and useful additions. All the known shortcomings (weak brakes, marginal suspension, bad seat, cooling problems, doohickey, etc.) of the stock bike were addressed and then a list of additions to make it more touring/commuter oriented were added. Additionally, it has been recently detailed and fully serviced. At the same time, I put on a new set of Kenda 761’s with heavy duty Michelin tubes and fresh rim strips.”
There are several extras, which include a K&N air filter, Tusk gear shifter, 16T front sprocket, 320mm front discs with Galfer pads and Russell braided lines, Studebaker fork brace, Progressive suspension, Happy Trails crash bars front and rear, Acerbis hand guards, and a NOS 1994 fuel tank. It’s sold on a Texas title.
