The bigger brother of the W1 (a name which Kawasaki would eventually bring back), the Kawasaki W2 650SS was also known as the Commander. Just 639 were sold, and this one has been turned into a cafe racer that the seller calls a Beezasaki (presumably due to the BSA gas tank).
The Commander was introduced in 1968 and received a slight horsepower bump (52 vs 49) versus the W1. Both bikes featured a 624cc twin, though the W2 was capable of 115 miles per hour thanks to the power bump. For more on the Commander, check out this article from Motorcycle Classics.
This example has been customized with a DANMOTO cluster, Mikuni carbs, unnamed fairing, and more. The seller suggests that you’ll get British style with Japanese quality. Find this custom Commander for sale in Santa Fe, New Mexico for $9,500 here on Craigslist.
