The YB9 was Bimota’s first two-seater. Offered in three generations, just 145 of the Bellarias were built between 1990 and 1993. Here’s number 112.
The Bellaria is powered by a 599cc Yamaha FZR motor, but thanks to a revised intake and exhaust Bimota was able to get 95 horsepower, 5 more than the Yamaha unit. As per usual with Bimotas of this time period, the outsourced motor was complemented by high quality components – in this case Marzocchi forks and rear shock and Brembo triple discs. For more on the Bellaria, check out this review rehosted on Motorcycle Specs. The takeaway is that it’s a 2-up sports tourer in a way that only Bimota wold make one – fast, small, and best enjoyed at 10,000rpm and up!
This example has 4,900 miles on the odometer, and it looks a weathered. The listing doesn’t give much details but the title is listed as salvage. If the rarity of this bike is worth the research to you, find this Bellaria for sale in Breganze, Italy with an unmet opening bid of $3,700
