10-31-17 Update: Reader Frank S notes that this bike is back up for sale with a $1,500 discount – you can now find it here on Craigslist for $8,000.
Based out of Valencia, Spain, BeOn Automotive has developed a “450 GP” kit to turn common 450 MX bikes into road racers. Here’s a kit-equipped Aprilia SXV550 that’s been raced by Chuck Sorenson. Two numbers you need to know: 80 horsepower, and 260 pounds!
The seller claims this build has over $25,000 invested into it thanks to an engine rebuild by former Aprilia race team mechanic Amauri Nunez at Spectrum Motorsports, Arrow titanium exhaust, Power Commander, USD front fork and shock tuned by Super Plush Suspension, Marchesini aluminum wheels, and plenty more. The bike has competed in three rounds of racing this season and in those races it has won “1st place 450SB, 2nd, 3rd F40 lightweight, and 3rd place at MotoAmerica F4 National.”
Find this road racin’ SXV for sale here on Bay Area Riders Forum for Brisbane, California for $9,500.
