This custom was built by Omar Sayied (the man behind MotoGhost) as his “dream BMW”, combining the classic aircooled boxer motor with a modern chassis. It uses parts from BMWs between 1970 and 2002, and the only non-BMW components are the handlebars and the Yoshimura exhaust. What do you think?
The major components include a ’81 R100 block with ’77 1,000cc heads/cylinders, ’79 sport camhsaft, ’78 R100S 40mm Bing CV carbs, ’71 clutch, ’74 /6 kickstart assembly, most of a ’81 R100RT frame, Paralever final drive from a ’91 K100RS with a R100GS swingarm, wheels from a K1200RS and R1100RS, front forks from a K75…the list goes on and on. It’s been recently serviced with a carb rebuild, head rebuild (by Ted Porter), and new fluids. The speedometer is the only known issue and it’s said to have covered 7,625 miles since the build.
