The BMW Motorcycle Owners of America is deeply tied to a charity group called the Motorcycle Relief Project which supports military and first responders who are battling PTSD, and this year they’re raffling off a BMW R80ST!
The bike is being donated by Brook Reams of Brook’s Airhead Garage, who rebuilt the bike as a project. He originally wanted to rebuild a R80GS but those have become quite pricey (as shown by the one featured on Bike-urious earlier this week) so Brook went with the “street” version of the GS, a R80ST. In Brook’s words, “rebuilding an R80ST for a charity auction provides me some experience working on a “G/S like” model but at a cost I can afford.”
