Ducati released the 851 to the world in 1987, and it was the introduction of four valve Desmo heads. It made Ducati a competitive race team again (they’d end up winning the 1990 World SBK Championship with this model).
My favorite paint scheme of the 851 has to be the Tricolore (I’m assuming you can translate that to English), adorned in the national colors of Italy. This example (VIN: ZDM3H86T3JB850041) has somehow been stored since new and never been started. It’s one of the homologation models and everything is claimed to be original, including the Michelin tires. The bike has gone through two dealerships and two private owners. Unfortunately, it’s not perfect. There’s some cosmetic wear, the rear shock travel bumper has disappeared from dry rotting, and the bike was stored at one point with the velocity stacks open and no air filter. As a precautionary measure, the top end was pulled off and put back together with new timing belts and gaskets. The oil was changed but the original filter was left.

If it helps with your valuation, note that one of the 207 homologation versions of the 851 Tricolore (which was converted to be street legal) sold for $28,750 at Bonhams Vegas auction in January.
